Swedish market sees record AUM in September
Total fund assets hit SEK2.324trn (€264.273bn) in Sweden last month, the highest figure ever recorded by the Swedish Investment Fund Association.
Net sales across all fund types through the month hit SEK1.3bn (€148m), the Association reported, with positive sales noted in balanced (SEK4bn) and equity funds (SEK1.3bn). Money market and bond funds saw net redemptions.
Total net sales year-to-date hit SEK58.6bn (€6.67bn), of which SEK35.3bn has been invested in balanced funds.
Pia Nilsson, managing director of the Association, said that the figures reflected investors seeking risk diversification.
“It is also notable that Sweden funds recorded the largest inflow among equity funds in September. The Swedish stock market has performed very well in international comparisons, both short and long term.”
