Swesif sustainability profiles on PPM platform
Sustainability profiles on funds developed by Swesif, the Swedish sustainable investment association, are now available via the PPM platform for long term savings in Sweden.
The profiles are intended to make it easier for users of PPM to compare funds that apply particular sustainability criteria to their investments.
The profiles were developed two years ago. They will henceforth be mandated for funds identified on the platform as environmental/ethical.
The profiles complement fund factsheets and describe the funds’ work involving ethics and sustainability. They are based on three criteria: positive screening, negative screening, and the effect on companies that the funds can invest in. The latest versions of the profiles also take into consideration resources, routines and controls.
The Swesif database, which is used by the Swedish Pensions Agency’s PPM platform, is financed on a voluntary basis by AP7, Nordea, SEB, Skandia, SPP and Swedbank Robur. The Swedish Investment Fund Association is also a member of Swesif.
