Swiss Life Asset Managers names CIO

Swiss Life Asset Managers, the asset management arm of Swiss Life Banque Privée, has appointed Alessandra Gaudio as chief investment officer.

She will oversee and manage the asset management business towards private clients, managing €4.5bn.

Gaudio, who will be a member of the bank’s executive committee, will focus on speeding up the development of Swiss Life AM by strengthening the firm’s investment policy and supporting the teams in the implementation of Swiss Life AM strategies. Gaudio was most recently global chief investment officer private banking at Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild in Geneva.

Prior to that, she held the position of managing director and head of Asset Management at Indosuez Gestion from 2007 to 2013.

Gaudio started her career in 1990 as financial analyst at BNP France before being appointed senior portfolio manager at BNP AM France.

In 1998, she joined Crédit Agricole France AM as senior fund manager then she became head of Equities and Investments in 2001 for Crédit Agricole AM in Italy.
