Barings appoints head of Switzerland and private banking
Baring Asset Management has announced the appointment of Véronique Fournier to the newly created role of head of Switzerland and global head of Private Banking.
She will be based at Barings’ new office in Geneva and report jointly to Angus Woolhouse, global head of Distribution and Oliver Morath, head of EMEA Sales.
Fournier (pictured) joins the firm from Schroder Investment Management, where she was Relationship Director, Global Financial Institutions Group. Prior to this she held a number of senior business development positions at Morley Fund Management (now Aviva Global Investors).
Angus Woolhouse commented: “Véronique’s considerable experience and deep understanding of financial institutions will be a huge advantage to Barings as we seek to broaden and deepen our client relationships in Switzerland. Additionally she will be responsible for leading our global private banking channel, working with colleagues across Barings’ global network. We are very pleased to welcome Véronique to the firm.”
