BNY Mellon’s Pataki to discuss multi-asset strategies in Lausanne
Aron Pataki, fund manager and member of the Real Return strategies team at BNY Mellon Investment Management, will explain how multi-asset strategies help balancing risks at InvestmentEurope’s Pan-European Fund Selectors Summit.
Newton’s belief remains that the global economic backdrop is structurally challenged, with too much debt, a lack of real sustainable growth and strong demographic headwinds. The unconventional policy response from governments globally has provided abundant liquidity, which has found a home in financial assets, the company highlights.
In his rpesetnation, Pataki will explain that, while there is some evidence that parts of the US and European economies are improving, there is little to suggest that this traction is sustainable and that ‘escape velocity’ has been achieved, despite the implied optimism priced into risk assets.
Pataki is a global investment manager and risk strategist for the real return portfolios, with a particular focus on the use of derivatives and hedging. He is also the lead manager on the offshore sterling real return fund.
Pataki joined Newton in 2006 as a member of the portfolio analytics team, where he was responsible for risk analysis and portfolio construction across Newton’s institutional and retail portfolios. Previously, he worked as a quantitative analyst at Lacima Group.
