Columbia Threadneedle appoints sales director in Geneva

Columbia Threadneedle has appointed Benjamin Boyer as sales director Financial Institutions Romandie and Ticino in Switzerland.

Boyer will be based in Geneva and report to Christian Trixl, head of Swiss Distribution.

He will be responsible for broadening and deepening relations with financial institutions with a focus on private banks and family offices.

Boyer was hiterto working at Carmignac Gestion where he took part in the launch of Carmignac Gestion Switzerland as a senior business development Manager, covering both wholesale and institutional clients and building the sales and marketing strategies in Romandie.

He started his career at Sinopia Asset Managment, now known part of HSBC Group, as business development officer. He joined HSBC Investments in 2006 where he has been responsible for wholesale clients in France including funds of funds, private banks and life insurance platforms before being appointed as head of Wholesale Romandie at HSBC Global Asset Management Switzerland.

Commenting on the appointment, Trixl said : “We look forward to benefitting from his insight and working together to consolidate our relationships with our clients and strengthen our regional footprint.”
