D’Argenio exits Robeco SAM

Diego D’Argenio, fund manager for Robeco SAM’s Sustainable Equities fund has left earlier this month.

Morningstar has earlier drawn attention to the relatively high turnover  in the analyst team. Following the departure of D’Argenio, the fund has now been put under review.

“D’Argenio has been a key factor to the performance of the fund, it is therefore a common practice for Morningstar to put it’s performance under review” comments Ronald van Genderen, fund analyst at Morningstar.

Robeco confirmed that it has started recruiting for D’Argenio’s replacement, Rainer Baumann, head of public equity and Kai Fachinger fund manager for Robeco’s sustainable equities fund have taken over his responsibilities in the meantime.

“We thank Diego for his is contribution over the past years and respect his decision, knowing that first and foremost the interest of our clients will continue to be served in the capable hands of Rainer Baumann, Kai Fachinger and the entire RobecoSAM public equity team” the firm commented.
