Edmond de Rothschild names chief economist

Mathilde Lemoine has been appointed as group chief economist at Edmond de Rothschild group. She will be joining EdR on 7 January 2016 and will report to Ariane de Rothschild, chair of the group executive committee.

Prior to joining the firm, Lemoine has worked in various French ministerial cabinets, notably as an advisor on macroeconomic and tax issues to the Prime Minister.

She was head of Economic Research and Market Strategy at HSBC France from 2006 to 2015. Lemoine has also held roles of lecturer/researcher, notably at Sciences Po Paris on macroeconomics.

Lemoine sits on the boards of Carrefour and the Ecole Normale Supérieure. Since 2013, she has been a member of the Haut Conseil des Finances Publiques.

She is also part of the scientific council of the Cité de l’Economie et de la Monnaie.

Adrien Paredes-Vanheule is deputy editor and French-Speaking Europe Correspondent for InvestmentEurope, covering France, Belgium, Geneva and Monaco. Before that, he worked for newspapers and radio stations in France, in particular in Lyon.
