Fisch AM hires convertible bond PM amid expansion

Zurich-headquartered Fisch Asset Management has appointed Gerrit Bahlo as convertible bond portfolio manager.

Bahlo, who started in July, joins from Man GLG where he held roles of portfolio manager and credit specialist-analyst focusing on convertible bonds between September 2015 and June 2018. Prior to that, he had been a portfolio analyst at Hamburg-based boutique Veermaster Asset Management.

Fisch AM had unveiled expansion plans mid-July, explaining that five international specialists would be added to the portfolio management team, bringing the total number to over 30 members.

Moreover, the Swiss firm has launched the Fisch CB Global Dynamic fund last 31 May. This new vehicle relies on a dynamic allocation across the convertible bond spectrum and is run by Ute Heyward, also portfolio manager of the Fisch CB Global Opportunistic fund, and Filip Adamec.

Fisch AM had assets under management of around CHF10.8bn (€9.3bn) as of end June 2018.
