Fisch AM hires new quant analyst from AIM
Fisch Asset Management, a convertible bonds specialist based in Zurich, has added a new quantitative analysis expert to its investment team.
Olivier Schmid (pictured) moves over from AIM Capital, an alternatives manager, where he has worked since 2010, first as a senior research and later progressing to the position of chief investment officer.
Schmid began his career at Julius Bär bank, where he built up the wealth engineering team. Afterwards, he moved over to Quantica Capital, a hedge fund, as senior investment manager.
At Fisch AM, he will be responsible for the development and implementation of quantitative strategies. He will also strengthen the management team for the Trend Navigator programme, which invests in futures based on systematic analysis of trend signals.
Quantitative analysis is an important component in the investment process of the Swiss boutique and contributes to the performance of its product range.
With CHF 7.1bn under management, Fisch AM is one of the leading convertible bond managers worldwide. It was founded back in 1994 by Kurt and Pius Fisch.
