Former Edmond de Rothschild’s fund selection chief launches Swiss boutique

Alexandre Col, former head of Multi-Management and member of the executive committee at Edmond de Rotschild group, has officially launched a multi-management boutique named Iteram.

Iteram has offices in Geneva, for research and clients, and Luxembourg, for administrative tasks.

Former chairman of Edmond de Rothschild’s executive committee Claude Messulam has been appointed chairman of Iteram’s board.

Iteram’s team consists of 14 professionals including three Col’s former colleagues at Banque Edmond de Rothschild : Alexandre Pini, Jaume Sabater and Marc Sbeghen. All four are managing partners and fully own Iteram’s capital.

The Swiss boutique will focus on both asset management, primarily alternative investments, and multi-management, offering investors an open-architecture fund range. According to Swiss trade press, Col, who exited Edmond de Rothschild in December 2014, said Iteram will not distribute Switzerland domiciled funds nor ETFs.

Iteram has already $600m (€535.3m) of assets under management.
