Ignis’ Ian Ormiston to speak at Lausanne event
Ian Ormiston, investment manager of the Ignis European Smaller Companies and Ignis European Growth funds, is set to take part in the InvestmentEurope Fund Selector Bond Focus in Milan on 4 March.
Ormiston will consider the argument for investing in European small caps, which have continued to outperform larger peers despite the unsettled macroeconomic environment across Europe in recent years.
This is a market in which stockpicking can deliver alpha, and Ormiston believes that smaller companies will continue to outperform going forward.
Ormiston joined Ignis in 2007 from Singer and Friedlander and has 19 years of investment experience. He started his career at Asahi Life Investment Europe and holds a master’s degree in Economic history from the London School of Economics.
InvestmentEurope is delighted to announce the Spring Pan-European Fund Selector Summit, to be held 9-11 April 2014 at the Beau Rivage Palace, Lausanne, Switzerland.
