J. Safra Sarasin unveils sustainable Swiss small-mid cap equity fund

Swiss financial group Banque J. Safra Sarasin has launched the JSS Sustainable Equity – Small & Mid Caps Switzerland fund, InvestmentEurope can reveal.

The fund will be managed by Christoph Lang and will invest in securities of small and medium-sized companies whose an important share of business activities is in Switzerland or Liechtenstein.

The fund will consider environmental, social and governance criteria in its investment process as it seeks to reduce the risks and exploit opportunities associated with sustainability megatrends such as resource shortages, demographic change or climate change.

The JSS Sustainable Equity – Small & Mid Caps Switzerland fund has been approved for distribution in Switzerland by Swiss financial market regulator Finma on 7 June 2017.

As of 31 December 2016, J. Safra Sarasin managed a total of 22 collective investment schemes in Switzerland, with assets under management totalling CHF2.76bn (€2.5bn).
