Lombard Odier IM’s global CIO to step down

Swiss asset management group Lombard Odier Investment Managers has announced that its global chief investment officer Jan Straatman (pictured) is to retire at the end of the year.

Straatman joined Lombard Odier IM in 2012 in this role of global CIO.

Since then, he has been in charge of strengthening and streamlining Lombard Odier IM’s product range and developing Lombard Odier IM’s multi-boutique structure.

Straatman’s duties will be “gradually transitioned” to the CIOs of each Lombard Odier IM’s investment boutique, the group said.

Once retired, Straatman will remain as an advisor to Lombard Odier IM and on the Funds boards.

Hubert Keller, CEO at Lombard Odier IM, commented: “Jan has been a valuable member of the Lombard Odier IM management team over the last five years. Jan’s vision has always been to position Lombard Odier IM as a specialist multi-strategy player providing quality investment solutions for our clients.

“His hard work, deep understanding of investment processes and risk management, and his very effective management style has considerably helped us to achieve this goal. I wish him well as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.”

As of 31 December 2016, Lombard Odier IM had assets under management of CHF45bn (€40.8bn).
