Manulife AM enters Swiss market with six funds

Manulife Asset Management, the global investment arm of Manulife, has registered six funds for distribution in Switzerland in June 2017 with the help of local fund service firm ARM Swiss Representatives, InvestmentEurope has learned.

The six funds are part of the company’s Ireland-domiciled Manulife Asset Management Ucits Series Icav range. It includes:

  • Manulife Asset Management Asian Bond Absolute Return Fund;
  • Manulife Asset Management Emerging Markets Debt Fund;
  • Manulife Asset Management Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund;
  • Manulife Asset Management Global Equity Fund;
  • Manulife Asset Management Strategic Fixed Income Fund;
  • Manulife Asset Management US Large Cap Core Equity Fund

Manulife Asset Management is making a big push in European markets since June 2016 having, among others, established at that time its Ucits funds range in Dublin with 11 funds available first for UK and Ireland-based investors and with the aim of passporting them in other European countries.

Assets under management of Manulife Asset Management totalled around $358bn (€313.5bn) as of 31 March 2017.
