Martin Currie’s Claire Marwick to consider Japan long/short at Lausanne

Claire Marwick, investment director, Japan at Martin Currie, will consider the long/short approach to Japanese equities during the Pan-European Fund Selector Summit in Lausanne on 9-11 April.

In 2013, the long-stagnant Japanese market showed signs of revival, yet prosepcts are now dominated by wage negotiations and the consumption tax increase. Claire will discuss how she plans to navigate these events and position her portfolios to take full advantage of Japan’s continuing recovery

Claire co-manages Martin Currie’s Japan Alpha Fund and Japan long/short strategy. She joined Martin Currie’s Japan team in 2007 as an investment analyst and became a fund manager in 2010. She previously worked with the Alliance Trust in Hong Kong, where she analysed Japanese equities.
