Peter Svoboda of Erste to speak at Zurich Forum
Peter Svoboda, senior fund manager at Erste, is set to speak at InvestmentEurope’s upcoming Pension Fund Forum, taking place in Zurich on 21 November.
Svoboda (pictured) will discuss developments fixed income markets, and how this relates to investment opportunities in Emerging Europe.
With yields on US Treasuries and German Bunds heading to what are historically more normal levels, Svoboda suggests that there are still some residual prejudices against the Emerging Europe region. But investors may need to consider a blend of non-CHF bonds to increase portfolio returns as they pursue income strategies.
Svoboda began his career in 1995 as a corporate analyst at Erste Group Bank. In August 2005, he joined First Asset Management and took over the management of the team handling emerging markets bonds in hard and local currencies. During his one-year stay in 2011 at F&C Asset Management in London, Svoboda was entrusted with the implementation of Emerging Markets Fixed Income strategies. He returned in late 2012 to Vienna.
