SBA appoints head of Swiss Asset Management Initiative
The Swiss Bankers Association has appointed Peter Grünblatt its head of the Asset Management Initiative, which is intended to develop the country’s asset management capabilities.
The SBA said that the development plans as outlined in a working paper should “lead to a gradual improvement in the framework conditions for asset management over the coming years.”
“In order to derive detailed measures from these priority areas and push forward with the required work in a quick, targeted and coordinated manner, Peter Grünblatt has been appointed head of the Asset Management Initiative at the Swiss Bankers Association.”
Grünblatt has over two decades of experience in the financial industry in Switzerland and Asia. He held management positions within the Credit Suisse Group from 2001 at its subsidiaries Bank Leu and later Clariden Leu in the area of investment products. At Bank Leu, he oversaw the investment fund business until the end of 2006, and from 2007 he was primarily responsible for the strategic focus of the Products & Services division at Clariden Leu as the head of Business Development.
The Asset Management Initiative is being divided into individual projects, with communications targeting interest groups including politicians and public authorities.
