Swiss asset manager Semper targets UK investors
Geneva-based Semper Gestion has recruited a new chief investment officer and partner, Jean‐Evrard Dominicé, to expand the company’s range of investment products and lead the opening of a new office in London.
This is the latest step in the company’s expansion, having recently obtained ISO 27001 certification, opened an office in Shanghai and recruited a Chinese manager, Tianning Ning Kernen.
Dominicé has experience in alternative investments having previously worked at Warburg Dillon Read in Zurich, then at Credit Suisse First Boston in London.
In 2004 he set up Dominicé & Co Asset Management where he co‐developed the Swiss Discovery fund and the volatility fund Cassiopeia.
Dominicé will remain a dormant partner of Dominicé & Co and will continue to sit on the board of Anaconda, another Geneva‐based hedge fund.
Semper was founded in 2001 and is run by its managing partners Eric Freymond and Grégoire Vaucher. It has a twenty‐strong team of professionals and expertise in financial analysis, family office services and investment funds. It also has in‐depth knowledge of China.
