Swiss Bank Sarasin appoints head of CEE

Bank Sarasin in Switzerland has appointed Yves Sarasin head of Central & Eastern Europe.

He will assume his new role on January 1, reporting directly to Eric Sarasin (pictured), head of private banking and member of the bank’s executive committee.

Yves currently lives in Warsaw, Poland, but will be returning to Zurich to take up the role, having successfully built up the representative office in Poland which opened in 2009.

The sole remaining senior representative in the Warsaw office will be Daniel Raemy.

Yves’s responsibilities will include managing business booked in Switzerland for private clients domiciled in Poland and Russia.

Before joining Bank Sarasin in 2002, Yves worked at Union Bank of Switzerland and then moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he was responsible for mergers & acquisitions.

Up to 2008 he had a management role in the private clients business at Bank Sarasin based in Basel. He then spent four years setting up and managing the new representative office in Warsaw.
