Switzerland’s Reyl & Cie announces head for unit advising US clients
Swiss private bank and asset manager group Reyl & Cie has appointed Roger Groebli as chief executive of a newly founded unit to help US taxpayers living in Switzerland and abroad.
Groebli will join Reyl Overseas Ltd, which is registered as an investment adviser with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, to focus primarily on developing wealth management services for US clients.
He joins from ABN Amro, where he headed up the research unit for the Asia-Pacific region, and its investment advisory activities.
“Reyl Overseas Ltd has a particularly promising and exemplary business model. In line with the hands-on personalised approach characterized by the Group, our aim is to offer US clients wealth management services of the highest international standards,” he said.
US citizens face complicated tax matters, as they are taxed on their worldwide income, and at the same time the US tax authorities are seeking to shine a stronger light on their tax affairs in Switzerland if any have not been disclosed to Washington.
