UBP hires European small-mid cap equities fund manager

Geneva-headquartered Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) has appointed Charles Anniss as a small- and mid-cap portfolio manager in its European equities team.

Anniss will be in charge of strengthening UBP’s European equities investment fund range and developing a new European small- and mid-cap offering.

Anniss joins from M&G Investments where he was a director and fund manager within the firm’s equities team.

He was responsible for its European Select Fund and European Smaller Companies Fund as well as managing segregated global ex.US equities portfolios for institutional clients.

Scott Meech, co-head – Pan European Equity at UBP, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Charles is joining us. His extensive experience and considerable knowledge will be highly complementary to our existing skill set. This appointment is a significant step forward in the development of UBP’s European Equity franchise.”

As at 30 June 2016, UBP had CHF113.5bn (€103.4bn) in assets under management.
