Unigestion announced that Ken Harvie has been appointed as its new head of Consultant Relations.

The former Ignis Client and Consultant Relations director joined Swiss asset institutional clients team, based in London, last December. Unigestion expects him to bolster relations with the global consultancy community.

Harvie, who has been working for over 30 years in the pension industry, considers the risk-managed investment solutions asset as “ideally positioned to provide the innovative, tailor made and differentiated solutions required by institutional investors”.

He previously worked in the public sector for the Strathclyde Pension Fund, the UK’s largest local authority pension scheme, before pursuing his career in Coats Viyella’s pension fund and Aon Consulting.

Tom Leavitt, managing director and head of Institutional Clients at Unigestion, said: “Ken is an excellent addition bringing a wealth of experience in this field. I look forward to working with him as we build on our existing consultant relationships in the UK and develop broader relationships globally.”
