Vontobel scraps sustainable euro bond fund

Swiss asset manager Vontobel has liquidated the Vontobel Fund II – Sustainable Euro Bond Concept fund on 11 May 2018, InvestmentEurope can reveal.

The fund invested in euro-denominated fixed income securities of countries, companies and other issuers promoting sustainable business practices.

In a notice to shareholders, the manager explained assets of the fund were no longer sufficient to enable its efficient management. According to Morningstar data, AUM in the fund were €11.13m as of 9 May 2018.

The Vontobel Fund II – Sustainable Euro Bond Concept fund had been launched in 2013 and was overseen by Daniel Karnaus.
