Zurich boutique unveils sustainable healthcare fund

Zurich-based healthcare equity specialist Bellevue Asset Management has launched the BB Adamant Sustainable Healthcare (Lux) fund at the end of June, the firm announced.

The new healthcare fund will hold some 40 positions from four distinct regions (Western Europe, North America, Japan/Oceania and emerging markets) within a reduced universe of 300 investable stocks. It invests in sustainable healthcare companies with innovative business models, relying on the Adamant Healthcare Index established in 2007.

The portfolio will be reviewed and adjusted twice a year. ESG rating agency Sustainalytics will assist fund managers Zahide Donat and Samuel Stursberg for the sustainability assessment part.

The manager’s 20-strong healthcare investment team manages around CHF6bn (€5.2bn) under several healthcare equity strategies.
