UBS reshuffles its management team

Swiss bank UBS has appointed Henrich Baer as new head of Luxembourg wealth management unit, effective 1 October 2018. This news was confirmed to InvestmentEurope by a spokesperson.

In this role, Baer will report directly to Christine Novakovic and become a member of the WM EMEA Management Committee. He will also act as the country head UBS Luxembourg and have an additional reporting line to Ulrich Körner, president UBS EMEA and to Thomas Rodermann, in his role as spokesperson of the Management Board UBS Europe SE. He has a long-standing track record of successful leadership at UBS, most recently as head of Affluent & International Markets WM EMEA. He will relocate to Luxembourg on 1 August 2018.

As mutually agreed, René Mottas will return to UBS in Switzerland after almost 7 years in the Benelux region as country head UBS Luxembourg, market head Wealth Management Benelux/Luxembourg and, for the last two years, as a member of the UBS Europe SE Management Board. Mottas will look for other opportunities within UBS. We are very grateful to him for his passionate leadership and outstanding contribution to UBS in Europe and Luxembourg in particular.
