Aberdeen recognised for sustainability data submission

Aberdeen Asset Management has been awarded the inaugural Sustainability Data Submission Award, which recognises significant contributions to the IPD Sustainable Property Indicator (ISPI), at the IPD UK Property Investment Awards last week.

The IPSI shows performance results of the more sustainable properties on the UK market and monitors the relationship between environmental performance and financial returns.

Ian Cullen, co-founding director at IPD said: “In 2011, IPD again asked funds to provide sustainability data, and we are beginning to see real improvements in the quality of sustainability data we receive. This year, we were able to recognise Aberdeen Asset Management for the completeness of their data submission to IPD, which included over 90% of the properties in their various portfolios – a truly major achievement, and a sign to the industry of the growing importance of measuring and demonstrating the sustainable attributes of investments.”
