Allianz GI expands UK retail fund range
Allianz Global Investors has made 12 of its strategies available to UK investors through an R Share Class structure.
The funds will be available on UK’s fund platforms Cofunds, Hargreaves Lansdown’s Vantage service, Old Mutual, Raymond James, Standard Life and Transact.
With the introduction of the R share class, AllianzGI has launched four new funds to UK retail investors: Allianz Global Fundamental Strategy, Allianz Best Styles Global Equity, Allianz Best Styles US Equity and Allianz EM Flexible Bond.
Two of AllianzGI’s existing funds are now available in Sterling for the first time: Allianz Europe Equity Growth Select and Allianz US Small Cap Equity.
The Allianz Global Fundamental Strategy has the flexibility to invest across multiple asset classes and geographies while also managing risk. The fund’s unconstrained approach allows the managers to populate the portfolio with the best ideas from across AllianzGI’s global network of investment professionals and analysts, identifying and reacting quickly and decisively to investment themes that can capture alpha.
AllianzGI’s Best Styles family of funds create a portfolio of stocks with a diversified investment style mix, aiming to capture stocks set to excel across five different investment styles: Quality, Value, Growth, Momentum and Earnings Change. Best Styles takes into account the long-term potential of each investment style individually, as well as their mutual benefits.
Active stock selection, based on proprietary research, is then used to select the very best companies from identified long-term winners in each investment style. Risk dimensions are then applied evenly across the portfolio’s investment styles.
The Allianz Emerging Markets Flexible Bond fund invests across the full range of emerging markets debt instruments, including companies and countries of any credit rating or currency. The flexible approach enables the fund’s experienced team to construct a portfolio based on their conviction views of an asset class where individual securities can exhibit an exceptionally wide range of risk and return.
Fraser Blain, head of UK Retail Sales at AllianzGI, said: “This significant expansion to our product footprint in the UK is great news for retail investors. This new share class gives investors access to a broader range of our funds than ever before, with four new funds launching in the UK and another two available in Sterling for the first time.”
