Aviva names Paul Abberley interim chief executive
Aviva Investors has named Paul Abberley as interim chief executive, following the departure of Alain Dromer.
The company will continue to recruit for a permenant CEO internally and externally.
Abberley (pictured), who is currently chief executive of Aviva Investors London and global investment solutions, will assume responsibility for the global business with immediate effect, and will join the Aviva Group executive committee.
Patrick Regan, chairman of Aviva Investors and chief financial officer said: “Paul has a strong track record in the asset management industry, and he has successfully led and grown Aviva Investors’ London business since its inception.
He added: “He brings an in-depth understanding of Aviva Investors’ operational and investment activities to the Group Executive and his interim appointment will facilitate a smooth transition following the departure of Alain Dromer.”
Paul Abberley joined Aviva Investors at launch in September 2008 as chief executive of Aviva Investors London, leaving his role as London CEO at ABN Amro Asset Management.
