AXA IM hires new global head of Marketing

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Hazel Pitchers as global head of Marketing.

Pitchers will be based in London and will lead AXA IM’s global marketing strategy in 21 markets across the world including Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. She will be a member of AXA IM’s executive committee reporting to Christophe Coquema, global head of Client Group.

This new position will focus on developing awareness of and preference for the AXA IM brand, positioning AXA IM as a key player in retail markets, and promoting AXA IM’s expertise to existing institutional clients.

Pitchers will also help AXA IM to build out its digital strategy.

With 15 years of experience in the asset management industry, Pitchers joins AXA IM from BlackRock Investment Management where she was managing director and head of EMEA Retail Marketing since 2013. She joined BlackRock’s institutional marketing department in 2006.

Preivously, Pitchers held various marketing roles at Fischer Francis Trees & Watts (subsidiary of BNP Paribas Investment Partners) and Gartmore Group.

Developing a consistent global message and a strong brand presence is paramount given our continued focus on third party asset growth.”

Adrien Paredes-Vanheule is French-Speaking Europe Correspondent for InvestmentEurope, covering France, Belgium, Geneva and Monaco. Prior to joining InvestmentEurope, he spent almost five years writing for various publications in Monaco, primarily as a criminal and financial court reporter. Before that, he worked for newspapers and radio stations in France, in particular in Lyon.
