Beecroft appointed chairman at Saxo UK
Online trading and investment group Saxo Capital Markets UK has appointed Nick Beecroft as chairman, with responsibility for the development and performance of the company.
Beecroft (pictured) has been with Saxo in the UK since 2009 and has over 30 years of international trading experience within the financial industry, including senior global markets roles at Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank and Citibank.
Beecroft replaces Albert Maasland. Maasland was appointed as chairman when Torben Kaaber took over as CEO in June 2011.
Saxo Bank has operated in the UK since March 2006, initially as a branch of Saxo Bank A/S and since 1 January, 2012, as Saxo Capital Markets UK Limited.
“As the wholly owned UK subsidiary of Saxo Bank, we have grown to become an expert in foreign exchange and multi-asset trading and we pride ourselves on having the best technology, tools and market insight available to our clients,” Kaaber said.
