Calum Smith appointed to fixed income role at SWIP
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has appointed Calum Smith to the newly created role of head of Global Aggregate in its fixed income team based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Smith will report to Graeme Caughey, global head of Rates, and will be responsible for pushing SWIP’s global aggregate capability in both retail and institutional markets.
Smith spent 11 of his previous 17 years experience in investment management at BlackRock, where he held the role of director and senior fixed income strategist, advising clients on fixed income issues including strategy, solutions and portfolio reviews.
Previously he has also worked at Aegon and Templeton Investment Management.
SWIP’s fixed income team oversees some £70bn in fixed income and cash assets.
