Columbia Threadneedle boosts UK equity team

Columbia Threadneedle has appointed Jeremy Smith as head of UK equity research.

Smith’s appointment is effective as from 1 September. He is based in London and reports to Leigh Harrison, head of Equities for Europe at Columbia Threadneedle.

Formerly, Smith worked at Liberum Capital. Other positions include head of UK equities at Neptune Investment Management, and manager of the UK Equity fund before his departure in 2010 as well as director of UK equities at Schroders.

UK and European equity teams manage over £35bn (€47.6bn) in assets.
