FE opens KIID library ahead of Ucits deadline
FE, the fund data provider, has opened a library for Key Investor Information Documents (KIIDs) for UK domiciled Ucits funds, head of the 1 July deadline for implementing the regime that replaces simplified prospectuses.
The library includes multiple language documents for each jurisdiction where the funds are available for sale. FE will also offer a data feed of KIIDs for platforms.
Matt Surfleet, commercial director at FE, said: “Our database of KIIDs will save both financial advisers and platforms a huge amount of time and effort. Instead of going to every fund group to collect KIIDs, FE can provide all the documents from a single source. This means they can focus their efforts on providing client service rather than on administration.”
Last week Edinburgh, Scotland based Electrum, which also supplies a KIID solution, warned that managers were running out of time to complete KIIDs for Ucits funds.
