Former Barclays Wealth directors join RBC

Two former directors from Barclays Wealth have moved to RBC Wealth Management, in a boost to its London private client team

RBC, the wealth management arm of Royal Bank of Canada, has hired both Joanne Pickles and Ross Jennings.

Both were previously directors at Barclays Wealth, with Pickles having worked there since 1999.

Jennings, prior to his most recent role with Barclays Wealth, was at HSBC private bank.

He also holds a background in investment management, having worked for James Capel Investment Management (latterly part of HSBC).

The two new hires represent a widening of RBC’s services to UK high net worth clients under head Philip Harris.

The Canadian bank’s wealth management services include trust and estate planning, tax advice, discretionary investment management and investment advisory services, structured solutions, banking, lending and global custody.
