Glasgow’s Adam bank team defects
Royal Bank of Scotland-owned Adam Bank has lost an eight-strong investment team based in Glasgow to rival Brewin Dolphin, a large independent private client investment manager.
A report in The Herald newspaper in Scotland said the exodus amounts to one third of the bank’s staff. Brewin Dolphin is expanding its Glasgow offices to accommodate the team, which starts in January. Among those quitting Adam Bank are Maxine Anderson, Stephen Martin, Gordon Macdonald, Michael Wedderburn, Wilson Leggett and Graeme Smith alongside two administrative staff.
Brewin Dolphin is led by Jamie Matheson, who spent many years working in the Glasgow stockbroking community, the paper reported.
