Heartwood appoints new head of charities
Heartwood Investment Management has announced the appointment of Guy Davies as head of Charities.
Reporting to Noland Carter, head of Heartwood Investment Management and CIO, Davies will be responsible for growing the division within Heartwood Investment Management.
Davies joins Heartwood with nearly 20 years of experience in the charity and investment management sector. He was most recently head of Charities, Trusts and Private Clients at investment management firm, Evercore Pan-Asset. Prior to joining Evercore, he worked as head of Charities and Philanthropy at Barclays Wealth, before which he held senior business development positions at Lazard Asset Management and Baring Asset Management.
Commenting on the appointment, Noland Carter, Chief Investment Officer at Heartwood Investment Management said: “Guy has an impressive track record and is ideally qualified to spearhead the growth of our charities division. We have spent over 20 years delivering reliable and prudent investment management to many of the UK’s leading charities and we are looking forward to working with Guy to extend our proposition to an even greater number of institutions.”
Guy Davies added: “I am delighted to be joining Heartwood Investment Management at such an exciting time in the firm’s development. The recent acquisition by Handelsbanken has further strengthened the business as it now combines a high quality investment management process with a unique relationship based service for charities throughout the UK. Charities have occupied a core part of Heartwood’s business and it has grown primarily through word of mouth. There is a real opportunity to take this business to the next level.”
Heartwood has some £1.7bn of funds under management.
