IMS Group hires to boost consultancy practice
The IMS group (IMS) has strengthened its consultancy services with the hires of Jonathan Mott, Oksana Selezneva and Claire Carpenter, the firm said in a statement.
Jonathan Mott joins as a consultant from the UK’s Financial Services Authority (FSA) where he was responsible for supervising wholesale and retail firms in the asset management sector. Mott has more than seven years’ experience in financial regulation and has an in-depth technical knowledge of the FSA’s regulatory framework.
Selezneva and Carpenter join the firm as compliance consultants. Selezneva was a compliance and deputy money laundering officer for five years at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce where she covered equities, fixed income sales, trading and corporate finance. She is also involved with the Securities and Exchange Commission regulation overhaul expert group.
Carpenter has worked in the financial services industry for five years, four of which were spent in regulation and compliance. In her new role at IMS, she manages a variety of regulated firms including private equity, fund of funds and Ucits managers.
IMS has expanded rapidly with the acquisition of compliance consultancy MMS in February and has moved to new offices on Jermyn Street, London, to accommodate the larger team.
