Invesco has announced the launch of the new Invesco UK Equity Income Fund, an offshore feeder fund which invests into the Invesco Perpetual Income Fund managed by Mark Barnett, head of UK Equities, who has over 21 years’ investment experience.

Domiciled in Luxembourg, investors will now have access to the expertise of the  award-winning Invesco Perpetual UK Equities team, which is fully cognisant of the demand for total returns through an investment strategy focusing on sustainable, long-term, dividend growth.

In 2006, Invesco launched the Invesco Offshore UK Equity Income Fund, a Jersey-domiciled expert investor feeder fund. On 25 June 2014, the assets of the Jersey feeder fund merged into the new, Luxembourg-domiciled, Ucits IV feeder fund − the Invesco UK Equity Income Fund.

The Invesco UK Equity Income Fund is the first Master/Feeder structure to be launched by Invesco under the Ucits  IV directive.  Invesco will bear the cost of any charges incurred in the management or administration of the feeder fund. As a result, the ongoing charge for each share class of the feeder fund is identical to that of the equivalent share class in the Master fund.

Nick Tolchard, Managing Director of Invesco’s International Development Division and Head of Invesco Middle East commented: “The fund has been launched in response to strong demand from overseas investors to access our market-leading UK equity income franchise which until now we have not been able to offer. A Ucits IV Master/feeder structure therefore provides us with a vehicle to broaden our distribution and give investors access to an established and market-leading investment team.”
