James Hambro&Partners appoints new director
James Hambro & Partners LLP, the independently owned private asset management partnership, which advises and manages assets on behalf of private clients and charities, today announces the appointment of Simon Brookes as a director.
Brookes, who joins James Hambro & Company, the financial planning arm of James Hambro & Partners, was previously at Towry where he looked after a wide portfolio of private clients for six years. Simon will be looking after James Hambro & Partners financial planning clients, working with a team under the leadership of Charles Calkin.
Brookes started his career with Marscholleck, Lautenschläger and Partners where he advised predominantly individuals in the legal profession. Simon is a Chartered Financial Planner and holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate becoming, in 2011, a Fellow Member of the Personal Finance Society, their highest designation. For the last two years, he has also been recognised as one of Private Client Practitioner’s Top 35 under 35 – a shortlist which aims to promote and acknowledge rising stars in the sector.
Brooke’s appointment follows a period of strong growth for James Hambro & Partners, with the partnership’s assets, managed or advised, growing to £1.2bn in the last three years, the firm said. In line with this growth, James Hambro & Partners recently appointed Christopher Macklin from Schroders Private Bank, as new Business Development Manager, responsible for helping to grow the business’s client base.
Jamie Hambro, chairman of James Hambro & Partners commented: “Simon is a highly respected and experienced financial planner and he is an excellent addition to our company. He will add valuable skills and resource to our existing team, helping us to deliver the best financial planning and wealth management services to our clients.”
Simon Brookes added: “James Hambro & Partners is a very successful business, built on a great ethos of delivering the best customer services to its client base. The team is made up of hugely experienced individuals and I am looking forward to working with them.”
