Kames Capital loses Skandia’s Best Ideas mandate to Artemis manager

Skandia Investment Group has awarded Tim Steer of Artemis a £38m mandate with the Skandia Global Best Ideas fund, and a £24m mandates for the UK Best Ideas fund, replacing Audrey Ryan of Kames Capital.

Steer is suited to the mandates becaue of ability to pick stocks, and previous knowledge of his management abilities previously running both  long/short money and UK equities for the Strategic Best Ideas and UK Best Ideas funds respectively.

Steer’s mandate on the UK Best Ideas fund means he is responsible for 16.66% of the overal portfolio.
