Kames expands property investment team

Kames Capital has appointed Philip Bach as head of Active Value Property, reporting to property investment director David Wise.

In his new role, Bach will be responsible for all investment-related activity associated with the Kames Active Value Property Fund (open ended), UK Active Value Property Unit Trust and Active Value Property Fund II (both closed ended), which together comprise about £800m (€930m) of client assets invested.

He joins from ING Real Estate Investment Management, where he was co-head of the direct segregated accounts team. Before this, he was an asset manager for Jones Lang LaSalle, where he undertook the strategic asset management of the property assets in the BT and Royal Mail pension funds.
