Kames set to launch Global Sustainable Equity Fund

British asset manager Kames has announced the planned launch of a Dublin-domiciled global sustainable equity fund aimed predominantly at investors in Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, subject to regulatory approval.

The new fund will be managed by Craig Bonthron and Neil Goddin, supported by Ryan Smith, head of Governance and Ethical Research at Kames.

Kames currently manages €2.8bn in SRI funds, the new fund will also make use of Kames company-own sustainability screening process, excluding certain sectors such as for example tobacco.

The portfolio will consist of 35 to 45 holdings, after fees, which are currently set at 0.75%, the fund aims to achieve a 3% performance over a rolling 36 month period, using the MSCI All Country World Index Total Return Index as its benchmark.
