Kinetic Partners appoints Korek as CEO

Kinetic Partners has appointed Julian Korek as chief executive of the firm, which has offices in London New York, Hong Kong, the Cayman Islands, Geneva, Dublin, Luxembourg and the Channel Islands.

Korek will be supported by a core management team to meet the increasingly challenging demands of global financial services firms operating across multiple jurisdictions and, as a result, complying with a vast array of regulatory challenges.

Two senior ex-regulators, Andrew Shrimpton and Monique Melis, have been appointed to the management team as well as Geoff Varga and Nick Matthews, who lead the Kinetic Partners’ Corporate Recovery and Restructuring, and Forensic practices, respectively.

Korek will be responsible for the implementation of a strategy to drive 20% growth targets for 2014 and 2015.

Kinetic’s turnover is on course to increase by 25% for the financial year 2012/13.

“I am excited by the challenge of working with the strong management team we have in place to help clients meet the challenges they face in the global financial services marketplace.  Our clients have clearly intimated that they see the US and Asia as the regions where the most growth will occur and our management team appointments reflect this,” Korek said.

He added: “We have illustrated our commitment to expanding our business to support clients over the last 12 months with new office openings and key appointments to core business lines.  These moves highlight the importance we place in matching our expertise and reach with the critical needs of our clients.  We understand global financial services industry dynamics and are focused on areas where our clients require greatest support in the future.”
