Legg Mason hires two to its emerging markets team
Legg Mason Global Asset Management has hired Steve Triantafilidis and Michael Bourke to work in its London office, supporting the further development of the emerging markets business.
Triantafilidis joins as a principal and head of Investments. Previously he was at Vontobel Asset Management as managing director and head of Global Equities.
Bourke has been appointed portfolio manager for LMGAM’s long-only strategies including the Legg Mason Esemplia Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund.

Esemplia plans to add four further appointments to the London team including 3 analysts as well as an additional portfolio manager in their Hong Kong office. The London based appointments are expected to be made by the end of March.
