L&G IM restructures leadership team

Legal & General Investment Management (L&G IM) has announced a restructure of its leadership team, including the appointment of a head of investment, a head of real assets, a head of distribution and two new vice chairpersons.

Aaron Meder has been appointed head of Investment, a new role, he will lead LGIM’s investment teams, excluding Real Assets such as property and infrastructure.

Roger Bartley has been appointed vice-chairman – Investments and will work closely with Mark
Zinkula to help grow LGIM’s business in new markets and distribution channels. He will also continue to provide strategic input to the investment teams.

Bill Hughes has been  appointed head of Real Assets, a new role, bringing together LGIM’s direct investment capabilities in property and infrastructure into one team;

Mike Craston has been appointed vice chairman – Legal & General Investment Management America. He will be focusing exclusively on providing strategic direction for LGIM’s US business and will transition his responsibilities in other regions.

Sarah Aitken has been appointed head of Distribution and will extend her responsibilities to lead all distribution in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including Institutional and Retail.

Mona Dohle
Mona Dohle speaks German and Dutch, she is DACH & Benelux Correspondent for InvestmentEurope. Prior to that, she worked as a journalist in Egypt and Palestine. She started her career as a journalist working for a local German newspaper. Mona graduated with an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS and has completed the CISI Certificate in International Wealth and Investment Management.
