LGIM names head of Wealth Management

London-headquartered Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Stephen Gray to the newly created role of head of Wealth Management.

Reporting to Simon Hynes, head of UK Retail Sales, Gray will work with wealth managers, stockbrokers and fund-of-fund clients in extending LGIM’s wholesale proposition.

Gray joins from AXA IM where he was head of Discretionary Sales. He was formerly a sales manager at Framlington Unit Management.

Commenting on the appointment, Hynes said : “We are delighted to welcome Stephen on board to lead our wealth management business. He has significant experience working with discretionary clients, and his appointment reflects our commitment to broadening LGIM’s wholesale proposition.”

Legal & General Investment Management had total assets of £757bn (€903.7bn) as at 31 December 2015.
