Liontrust adds non-exec director to board

British asset manager Liontrust has appointed Sophia Tickell as a non-executive director to its board, effective 1 October 2017.

this morning announced the appointment of a new non-executive director to its board, Sophia Tickell.

Tickell is a founding partner of healthcare, energy, climate change and finance think tank Meteos Limited.

She has over 15 years of experience working with asset managers and corporate executives to improve their appreciation of societal expectations and environmental constraints.

Commenting the appointment, Adrian Collins, chairman of Liontrust, said: “Sophia brings extensive and valuable experience, having worked with asset managers for more than 15 years as well as non-financial companies and academic and charitable boards.

“Sophia will also add vast knowledge and insight to the board through her work and involvement with ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) as it concerns asset management and sustainable investment. This is a key area of focus and expansion for Liontrust following the completion of our acquisition of Alliance Trust Investments in April 2017 and given our belief in the growing importance of sustainability for consumers and investors.”
