Lloyds makes Wealth CIO appointment

Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Markus Stadlmann as its new chief investment officer for its Wealth and Mass Affluent business.

The business is part of the group’s Retail division, which includes International Wealth, and serves some 500,000 clients.

Stadlmann has previously worked at Siemens AG, West Lab Asset Management, VP Bank Group, Harald Quandt Holding and Barclay’s Wealth and Investment Management.

Also announced is the appointment of Simon Kenyon is the new managing director for Wealth and Mass Affluent. Kenyon will report to Alison Brittain, group director, Retail. Kenyon takes on the responsibility for Wealth and Mass Affluent from Russell Galley who remains chief operating officer for Retail.

Alison Brittain said: “The integration of our Wealth business into the Retail division is an important component of our strategy to become the best bank for customers. I am delighted that Simon will build on his extensive exposure in the retail and mass affluent space to lead the business”
