Lunch series launches for Women in Asset Servicing

A lunch series has been launched targeting women working in asset servicing, to foster collaboration across asset servicing companies to enable greater female representation in senior asset servicing positions.

The first lunch will be hosted on 9 October in London by Kate Webber, managing director, Product Development at Calastone, the technology solutions provider that connects fund managers, distributors, platforms, custodians and fund administrators globally.

“Despite huge strides for women in the workplace over the past few decades, glass ceilings still exist at the most senior management levels for women, particularly in our industry. As the next generation of women move from the early stages of their careers, I want the ceiling to disappear altogether and for this discussion to be no longer relevant. I would like to see this generation fulfil their potential as individuals; regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation and the family decision to have children,” Webber (pictured) said.

The first lunch in the series will focus on topics including:

  • Why aren’t we seeing more women in senior asset servicing positions?
  • How can we empower the next generation of women in our industry to strive for senior roles?
  • How can we help our organisations to make the appropriate changes to recruit, nurture and promote regardless of gender?
